*Breaking* This afternoon, the Arkansas Supreme Court issued a temporary stay of execution for Jack Greene! Lawyers for Jack Greene asked the court to review a decision by a lower court denying a request for an independent hearing. Scott Braden explains, “Today’s order means that our client, Jack Greene, will have the opportunity to make the case that he should receive an independent hearing about his competency for execution.” This does not change Jack Greene’s death sentence. It is critical that we keep sending the message to Governor Hutchinson that the death penalty doesn’t belong in Arkansas.
