My son ... Randy Hartrup was sentenced to 6 years in prison for cultivation of two marijuana plants, that hadn't even budded when they were "stumbled" on by the Mineral Area Drug Task Force at his residence. Randy had no prior drug charges or convictions or any other crimes for that matter. He's currently at the SFC county jail awaiting transport to the DOC to serve this ridiculous sentence. I'm pleading as a mother and as a grandmother to his 4 girls, for help. Help for any advice or suggestions with helping my son not have to serve such a harsh sentence. The case has been appealed but unfornately not successful. Yes, what he did was illegal, I will not argue that. I would also like to say that he wasn't selling the marijuana, this was for personal use. My son isn't a bad person. He made a mistake, he's human. He doesn't deserve to be sitting next to rapist and murderers. Thank you for your time and reading and signing my petition. -Sue Hartrup
