On August 17th at approximately 10:15 AM, Sen. Maria Chapelle Nadal (MO-14) called for the assassination of President Donald Trump.  In a Facebook comment, Chappelle Nadal said: "I hope Trump is assassinated." 

The people of Missouri, St. Louis, and the Fourteenth Senatorial district deserve better than Sen. Chapelle Nadal's divisive rhetoric.  In a tweet posted soon after the Post-Dispatch article was penned, Chapelle Nadal said: "Hate and bigotry should not be tolerated." By signing this position, you are agreeing with the Senator's own words and that Sen. Chapelle Nadal should resign immediately.  

Congressman Lacy Clay (MO-1), Sen. Claire McCaskill, Missouri Democratic Party Chair Stephen Weber, and many more have already called for Senator Maria Chappelle Nadal's resignation.
