Connecticut was planning on having a hunt for the first time in over 100 years. We petitioned Governor Dan Malloy, and detailed what transpired here in Florida after the FWC decided to move forward with a hunt, despite non-lethal solutions and public opposition. The petition included the FWC’s admission that public outcry was a major factor in their decision to halt the hunt until 2019, where it will open to public debate again.
