Hi Everyone, 

Your support is having an impact - this week the NYPD announced the formation of a new Asian Hate Crime Task Force. While they still have not elevated this case to a hate crime, your support has helped move the needle. Thank you!

We are counting on you to help keep the pressure on. We made three demands in this petition and we have started to see real movement, especially with this week's announcement. This allocation of more resources is crucial, but we must continue to put the effort in to ensure it is sustainable.

We are currently working with a team of attorneys with the goal of effectuating legislative reforms to address this issue. In the next few weeks we will be working with elected officials to bring recommendations forward to prevent future hate crimes.

Our community member is thankful for all of the support that she has received.  She thanks everyone who has signed this petition and rallied against the hate that fueled this attack.
