Sub: Request for road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.

First of all, please accept our apologies for writing to you directly for such a small work. We would like to congratulate you, for your efforts, in registering the strong presence of India across the globe. It gives us an immense pride to see the respect and recognition we are getting throughout the world.

As a common Indian, we really feel special, when we see that India is consulted and involved in all important discussions by the western world. We really admire your passion and energy by which you are beating your own records day by day and making India a stronger economy.

Sir, we would like to draw your attention to the situation of our Village, which still lacks the motor road connectivity even after 71 years of Independence. There are four other villages along with ours which can be connected to main road with a construction 4-5 KMs of motor road. People have to climb the mountain through jungle to reach their village from the main connecting road. They have to climb 5-6 Kilometers uphill which takes almost 2-3 hours. People of that area have been doing it since last 100s of years. Irrespective of many request by people of those villages to different Government authorities through different mediums, the situation is still same.

We are writing this to you because of one single reason which has shaken us. There was a pregnant lady who was required to rush to the hospital immediately because of some complication. People took her on bed till the main road (4-5Kms) and she delivered the child in the vehicle on the way to hospital. By the grace of god both mother and child were fine, but god may not be kind every time with everybody.

Whenever anyone falls sick, people have to carry him or her on bed and travel by foot for 5-6 KMs to take a vehicle. If that 5-6 KMs of roads gets constructed then it will be big relief to the people as well as many lives can be saved.

Also for schooling, not only we, but also our kids, wake up at 6 am. Get ready by school walk downhill 5-6 km to reach school. Get relieved from school, walk up-hill again 5-6 km and reach home. This is our daily routine that too through a dense forest full of wild animals. Most difficult situations arise during rainy seasons and winters when paths become flooded, mudded and covered with snow. During this time, kids skip school even.

Everything needs to be carried to our village on our back only May it be food, vegetables, medicines, daily needs etc.

Looking at your commitment, energy and speed, this small connecting road will not take more than a month to get completed. This area is really waiting for the blessings under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
