On 6th September 2018 Secretary of State Karen Bradley announced direct rule for NI. She also announced a long overdue measly pay cut for MLAs, who aren't working, in addition to legislation blocking the people of NI exercising our democratic right to elect a new government in the absence of a functioning one.

We are now twenty months without government. Our political leaders are failing us. They do not deserve to be paid when not working. We do not deserve to be ruled by civil servants. We do not deserve our democratic rights to elect a new government being removed by the Secretary of State. We deserve a Secretary of State that has courage, commitment and compassion for the ordinary people in Northern Ireland.

We are calling on Prime Minister Theresa May to replace Karen Bradley as Secretary of State and remove the block on our democratic right to elect an alternative government.
