Dear Friends and Supporters
On the 30th May 2024, the verdicts of 16 of the Hong Kong 47 (detained for more than 3 years) who pled not guilty were handed down. 14 were found guilty and 2 acquitted - the first acquittals under national security law.
The 14 will be sentenced shortly along with the other 31 Activists, including our friend and former British Airways Cabin Crew colleague Carol Ng. They face 3 tiers of penalty - the maximum sentence is life in prison while the minimum sentence is "fixed-term imprisonment of not more than 3 years, short-term detention or restriction."
I ask you please to continue signing and sharing this petition and as we have a general election coming up, this would be a good time to contact your MP's.
