The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) has already warned that if proper steps are not taken by the authorities to address the water crisis, the country can face sever water shortage by year 2025! Just 7 years left!!! Yes, let that sink in for a moment! Here is an image provided by NASA using its GRACE satellite to track groundwater in Pakistan. You can clearly see from this image that most of the areas of Pakistan including the northern regions are highlighted with the ‘LOW’ colour ranges.
