Oil continues to leak into Port au Port Bay, NL despite the Department of Environment & Conservation been made aware of this leaking orphan well on Shoal Point over two years ago. Twenty four liters per day for more than 700 days equals over 16,800 litres of toxic crude having leaked into the Bay already. And people wonder why scallops have disappeared from this bay. It's time to fix this leak and fix it correctly before any more permanent damage is done to fish and wildlife habitat.
