Year 2008, we all were fortunate to see Dr T P Lahane felicitated Padmashree Award, India's fourth highest civilian honours Medicine Maharashtra (Grant Medical College, Mumbai). This was primarily awarded for performing 1-lakh cataract surgeries. Currently, the Dean of JJ Group of Hospitals-Mumbai-Maharashtra.

Many questions come to mind, if Padmashree award should have an end date or a validity date? This case is the best example where in the awardee is taking undue advantage of power and post of the position he owns.

We would like to share many instances where justice should prevail at the utmost priority. We initiated the post with no discrimination towards an individual and being a responsible citizen of India I feel this has to be shared to all Indian citizens.

Dr. Tatyarao Lahane has violated law by investing Rs.145 crore in Axis Bank [Private Bank] instead of any government nationalized bank. This was while performing his duties as a dean of Sir J.J Group Of hospitals.

Dr. Tatyarao is also involved in selling government procured eye lenses via black marketing. We understand the criticality of the statement thus we have kept full evidence and would like to share the same with all as well.

Being a dean, Dr Tatyarao Lahane was not available for 25% of the total time during 2010, 2011 & 2012. Unfortunately, where the dean of the hospital is required the most and we see Dr Tatyarao Lahane was out of premises for various reasons. Thus, certainly shows misuse of his power and position.

Over the years, Dr. has also violated the law by not disclosing the huge mango fruit production originated from the government campuses.

Dr. Tatyarao Lahane has also violated law by celebrating his birthday in compound of J.J hospital by walking on flowers. Images can be seen where Dr. is walking on a flower bed on his birthday celebrations.

In India, where we believe flowers are the upright offering to the holy however Dr. was the front runner to perform this act. Moreover, his birthdates records appear to be in multiple counts.

1. in his voter’s id and 2. In his passport copy. Both document versions have different dates. This is really thwarting to hear. Evidences are captured here as well.

With all the years spent, Dr. is involved in many wrong deeds and his actions are very aggressive. Lahane was booked under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act for allegedly passing a casteist remark against a sweeper. - See more here.  

Again, with no disregards to the good work Dr Tatyarao Lahane follows nor with any personal intent, I as an advocate by profession feel activities done are not acceptable and action HAS to be taken. I have lodged a complaint to various government authorities as well however till date just an enquiry in process. It’s time where we all should get up and raise a voice against the odds.
