I recently sent the following message to the general and justice offices of the government of Jamaica, alerting them to our petition and demand for the full and immediate release of Tommy Lee Sparta. I will keep you posted on whether that letter, stating their position, has been received.
If you feel you can support the petition in any other way, please let me know. I'd love to hear from and work with you.

Dear Hon. Jamaican Representative,
Please see petition below and kindly provide me an official statement as to where the Jamaican government stands on the growing international demand, at the heart of the petition itself, for the full and immediate release of Tommy Lee Sparta (Leroy Russell Jr.).
We the undersigned believe the state of Jamaica is in direct contravention of universal human rights standards (specifically two sections of the United Nations Body of Principles for the Protection of All Persons under Any Form of Detention or Imprisonment, 1988) upholding the fundamental rights of any and all those held in detention—notwithstanding the SOE currently in effect in Jamaica.
I look forward hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Paul
