Hi thank you to those who have signed the petition much appreciated I thought I would clear the matter up regarding tax which some people have asked the question death in service is paid out of your pension scheme if you die while employed and pays out a tax free lump sum to your family or chosen beneficiary this doesn’t form part of your estate
Discretionary however allows the companies to pay your funds to who they wish when filling your expression of wishes form out you are signing your wishes over to the company and if they choose not to pay out to who you have named they don’t have to if you agree that the companies should pay out to the persons you have named then sign and support the petition thank you
