மதிப்பிற்குரிய ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா அவர்கள் தனது தொண்டர்களாலும் தமிழக மக்களாலும் அம்மா என்று அழைக்கப்படுபவர். தமிழக வரலாற்றில் மறுக்க முடியாத ஒரு தலைவர். ஐந்து முறை தமிழகத்தின் முதல்வராக இருந்து முதல்வராகவே மறைந்தவர். அரசியலுக்கு வரும் முன்பாக அவர் ஒரு பிரபலமான நடிகையும் கூட. அவருக்கென்று நேரடி வாரிசு என்று யாரும் இல்லை. இப்போது அவருடைய போயஸ் கார்டன் இல்லம் அவர் உறவிலோ அல்லது நட்பிலோ தனியார் ஒருவருக்கு சொந்தமாகக் கூடும் என்று செய்திகள் வெளிவருகின்றன. அவரைப் போலவே அந்த இல்லமும் ஒரு வரலாற்றுச் சின்னமாகும். பல பெரிய அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் வந்து சென்ற இடம். அது பாதுகாக்கப்பபடவேண்டும். இப்படி அரசால் பாதுகாக்கப்படாத அவரது அரசியல் குரு எம்ஜிஆர் அவர்களின் ராமாவரம் இல்லம் எப்படி படிப்படியாக பொலிவிழந்தது என்பதை நாம் அறிவோம். எனவே செல்வி.ஜெயலலிதா அவர்களின் போயஸ் கார்டன் இல்லத்தை ஒரு நினைவுச் சின்னமாக அறிவித்து காலத்திற்கும் அவருடைய தொண்டர்கள், பொதுமக்கள் வந்து பார்த்துச் செல்லும் இடமாக அரசு பராமரிக்க வேண்டும் என்று தமிழக அரசைக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம். இதற்காக தேவைப்பட்டால் அந்த இடத்திற்கும் அம்மையாரின் பொருள்களுக்குமான மதிப்பீட்டுத் தொகையை அரசே சம்மந்தப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதில் பாதகம் ஒன்றுமில்லை. விரைந்து செயல்படாவிட்டால் ஒரு மக்கள் தலைவரின் வரலாற்றைப் பாதுகாத்துப் பராமரிக்கும் வாய்ப்பை இந்த மாநிலம் இழந்துவிடலாம்.

 Selvi.J.Jayalalithaa who is fondly known as Amma by her loyals has been an important leader in the history of Tamilnadu. She has been the Chief Minister of the State for a record five times and she was a Chief Minister when she passed away. She was also a very famous actress before her political career. She has no immediate family and she lived for the people of Tamilnadu throughout her life. Rumors are out that her residence in Poes Garden, Chennai is going to be passed to a private party (a relative or a friend) and will not be accessible for public. That house too is an important place in the history of the state and needs to be preserved for the same as a memorial. We have seen what happened to her mentor MGR's Ramavaram residence when it was not taken over by the government. We urge the Tamilnadu Government and the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu to take the necessary steps to make her Poes Garden residence as a memorial so that there is a place for her supporters to visit and cherish mer memories. For this, there is no harm in paying the necessary price and take over the said property and its artifacts. A timely action is needed on this to honor the and people's affection towards iconic leader.
