I have pit bulls and was denied a home based solely on their breed. We slept in our car (me and my 3 female pits) for 3 months before we finally found someone who was open minded enough and kind enough to meet them. The stress of this actually caused my oldest one to stop eating and got sick causing me, after thousands of dollars for tests and medications to put her down. They were raised rite and showed to love and be kind but no one wanted to look past their bad rap and give them a chance. If a law was passed stating that for someone to claim a dog is aggressive no matter the breed, a certified trainer must put them through a series of tests and situations before drawing the conclusion that they are or aren't actually aggressive. So many people have to give up their family members because they can't find a home that will accept them. This is a HUGE problem that needs to be resolved and this is how it starts.......with us. We are their voice and I will stand tall and speak for them and all their caretakers that face this issue. #BETHEMIRACLE
