Schmidt and Salita is proud to acknowledge our brave front line workers today on National First Responders Day. The lawyers in our office have been instrumental in helping to draft the laws help pass legislation surrounding PTSD, Occupational Exposure and COVID.  

The year 2020 has been particularly challenging for our First Responders and communities. They battle the same COVID fatigue that each of us face. Many of them have already contracted COVID, others may still fear developing this illness, and of those that have recovered may face lingering and yet to be fully understood complications and effects of this disease. They have also faced civil unrest. These men and women have worked hard to keep us safe. This year, more than ever, our First Responders have had to run to the danger. We continue to represent them for their injuries, including cancer and exposure issues every day.

So join me today and reach out to a First Responder and tell them thank you. They are not just our neighbors, they are brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, and friends. Your sacrifices aren’t forgotten, and we thank you.
