Imagine being BORN and your Introduction to the World was a HELLO that included a Filthy, Hard Concrete Floor with Cracks and Stained with the remnants of Urine and Fecal Matter....You senses now come ALIVE.... Your EYES are able to see the confines that will be YOUR LIFE.. As you look around you, you take in the sights of wood, wire and a ridged metal wall that hides more filth and will be the only shelter from the Cold of Winter and your Best Protection from rain and Harsh Sun..You look around and see remnants of food strewn on the floor...for that is how you will eat after your STOCK MOM stops nursing you.. and someone says.... WELCOME TO THE WORLD, THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE!! Your EARS are filled with the Sounds of the LOUD BARKING and CRYING....It reverberates against that metal wall...Not One of these sounds even remotely sounds Happy or Soothing....and someone says.... THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE Your NOSE becomes filled with the harsh, sour smell of Dried Urine that is tainted with the faint ring of ammonia and the odor of fresh, concentrated urine that smells of disease...Could that be a sign of Infection? Is someone sick, Will they Die without Treatment? Because NO Vet will come. .. The combination of both dried up and fresh feces fill your nose and suddenly fill you with nausea.....And someone says.... THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE Your Paws touch the Hard Ground that surrounds you and you find NO COMFORT, not a bed or blanket to curl up on.....Not a toy to squeak or play with...Not a chew bone.......Just NOTHING that you would think a puppy should have...And you look around a note that the other larger ones that USED TO BE YOU, are STAINED AND MATTED.....their coats tight like wool hiding parasites from the Urine and Fecal Matter that fills them and the flies surround them. Some of them seem to be Limping.....And Somebody says.... THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE... Your MOUTH is dry but so is the Water Bowl and you wish Someone would come to fill it for you are thirsty.....Alas, No One Comes...This is feeling you will know well in the winter when your water bowl freezes up...You must get used to it...And Someone says..... THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE The One Who is supposed to be your MOM is STOCK and she looks WORN and HOPELESS, no Joy in her eyes...You wonder if she is sad because she was FORCED to BRING YOU INTO THIS WORLD as she has done so many times before....You wonder if she just wants to GIVE UP.... This will be YOU someday.....And someone says... THIS IS TO BE YOUR LIFE... You look up to find you are surrounded by the Faces that are the Carriers of your NEW Mantra.... The Past Several Days, I have focused on the UNSCRUPULOUS Lack of Care provided to these dogs by Marjorie Ingraham, OWNER of Marjories Kennels in Harpursville, NY...And NO DOUBT about it her Practices in the care, breeding and selling of dogs is REPREHENSIBLE... But for the Moment, Let's look at the Other Parties Involved in the Continuation of this 40 year Tradition of Filth, Bad Genetics, Illness and Lack of Veterinary Care... HELLO.......... New York Department of Agriculture and Markets.....ARE YOU LISTENING??? I took the Time as a Non-Resident of your State to Review your Standards that you are to uphold....I know as a Employee of the State of New York, you All had to File an Oath with the Secretary of State to SWEAR to DOING YOUR JOBS TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY....You are NON-COMPLIANT!! Your Job is not to Protect your Paycheck....It is to make sure that people are COMPLIANT with the Laws regarding ANIMAL WELFARE.....You are NOT doing your Job.... If a Pet Dealer fails to Pass Inspection more than THREE times in a row...They are to be brought before Commitee and Reviewed....If you are found NON-COMPLIANT you can have your License to sell.....REVOKED....And you DON'T Really NEED to find someone Three times failing...it is at your DISCRETION.......You Could Have SHUT HER DOWN! Hmmmm...Have you been being NON-COMPLIANT with your Own Guidelines? It is Looking that way......You have been so busy trying to COVER YOUR OWN TRACKS that You have LET a IRRESPONSIBLE PET DEALER lead you into a FIRESTORM! I don't think that this was YOUR INTENTION. ... ( This woman claims now to no longer be a Pet Dealer because she sells less than 9 dogs per year and you have believed her) You think you are Out-of-the Woods, But are you REALLY? I think your INTENTION was to be SELF-SERVING because You LET this( For Now say) Prior Pet Dealer( who still has more than 50 dogs on her property) , Marjorie Ingraham, continue to be NON-COMPLIANT over and over again...You DIDN'T Do Your Job....You didn't SERVE the Taxpayers of New York! You Served YOURSELVES and A NON-COMPLIANT Kennel Owner... The Folks that go to Work Everyday and do there Jobs so that they may PAY their Taxes, work hard and PAY YOUR SALARY and Your RETIREMENT BENEFITS... These hard working people TRUST you to DO YOUR JOB as an EMPLOYEE OF THE STATE... So, WHY AREN'T YOU DOING IT???? Lets talk for a Moment about Drs. SMITH AND CHICO!!! Two Names that TAXPAYERS should take Note of...THEY are LICENSED VETERINARIANS...they took TWO Oaths...One State, One Veterinary. .They Swore to "Use their Scientific Knowledge and Skills for the Benefit of Society through the Protection of Animal Health and Welfare, the Prevention and Relief of Animal Suffering, the conservation of Animal Resources, the Promotion of Public Health and the Advancement of Medical Knowledge." "To Practice the Profession CONSCIENTIOUSLY, with DIGNITY and in Keeping with Veterinary Medical Ethics.." WOW!!! you DON'T seem to be doing that...You seemingly have NEVER laid hands on these dogs or probably no others either.. You claim it is to avoid Cross Contamination. ...They make these new- fangled disposable Medical outfits, latex gloves, Disposable Booties and Face Masks...That Might Help you to AVOID spreading disease and INABLE you to Actually TOUCH the Animals that you are Inspecting...That might help You to DO YOUR JOB..under BOTH Oaths.. Was I of Any HELP to You Today??? You THINK that you have WASHED YOUR HANDS of this Matter, Since Marjorie claims to Sell Less than 9 Dogs per year....So you NO LONGER inspect her STOCK...You just might be letting the FOX into your Henhouse AGAIN! And, COMMON SENSE asks....Do you REALLY Believe that MARJORIES KENNEL sells LESS than 9 Dogs a Year? What would be the POINT of Staying in BUSINESS Be if you made so little money and PAID OUT so much OVERHEAD..... PERHAPS, You Should Review that....Make sure She Isn't REALLY opening Up a BIGGER CAN OF WORMS for You... Perhaps you are having The wool pulled over your eyes....It might look INCOMPETENT!!!! Not Only are the TAXPAYERS of NEW YORK watching but so are People from AROUND THE WORLD!!!
