[1]      Ratepayers’ money should be spent ethically.

[2]     NZ supports a two-state solution to the conflict between Jewish Israelis and 

          Palestinians.

[3]     Increasing Israeli settlement of Palestinian lands will prevent a two-state solution and 

          displace more and more Palestinians. This is a human rights issue.

[4]     In 2016, NZ was party to UN Resolution 2334 that says that the Israeli settlements on 

          Palestinian land are illegal.

[5]     Not dealing with companies which support illegal Israeli settlements is a small practical 

          step councils can take for justice for the Palestinians and be in support of NZ 

          Government’s policy on the illegal settlements.
