Shortly after petition creation I send a messages to several Google officials in witch I sad that we think Google don’t implement PiP feature because of competitive politics agents Apple and this competitive politics move is not agents Apple, but agents their YouTube Premium users. Android and iOS Premium users pay the same price, so we think that Google needs to end this iniquity among their Premium users.

Also I warned Google officials that if situation won’t change shortly, we will have to start PR company with YouTube tech bloggers to spread information about petition. And that serially will harm Google reputation.

Lest then a month passed and we finally win, Google started to roll-out YouTube PiP function for iOS and iPadOS users.

For now this function works only for US users, we hope soon it will be available globally.
