CONTEXT

In Romania we have almost 11 million smartphone users (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_smartphone_penetration

According to StatCounter (http://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/mobile/romania) more than 80% of these users are using Android.

Although Romanian dictation is available on Android devices (and working quite well), Google Assistant is not available in Romanian language. Moreover, if the phone language is set to "Romanian", in some cases Google Assistant will not work at all, or will have limited functionality.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF SOLVING THIS ISSUE?

Apart from the obvious benefits for the day-to-day user, children and the elderly will be the main beneficiaries. 

Children will be able to effectively use smartphones and tablets not only for cartoons or games, but also for asking questions according to their interest, for researching information for school projects and for discovering & learning new things. 

The elderly will be able to search more easily for various information, set reminders and stay in touch with their families.
