Over the last year, "Ghazwa e Hind" has seen a huge upswing in interest in various social media channels including Youtube and Facebook as well as broadcast media channels in Pakistan and abroad. Several hundred million hits  have discussed Hadiths relating to "Ghazwa e Hind". Wikipedia explains it  as, "Ghazwa-e-Hind or the final battle of India is an Islamic term mentioned in some "good" hadiths in particular predicting a final and last battle in India and as a result, a conquest of the whole Indian subcontinent by Muslim warriors. The term has recently become a subject of vast criticism in media for being used by militant groups to justify their activities in the Indian subcontinent."

Despite this, numerous Bayans by Maulana Masood Azhar in the last year and older bayans by the late Dr. Israr Ahmed(some made in the presence of former ISI chief Hamid Gul) have been circulating. After the recent exchange of air incursions, discussion around "Ghazwa e Hind" has reached fever pitch with people like 
Maulana Masood Azhar, Orya Maqbool Jan, Zaid Hameed, Raza Saqib Mustafai and media channels like Bilani Media, Haqeeqat TV, Neo TV, have espoused the arrival of "Ghazwa e Hind".

The Prophet (PBUH, SAW) preached Universal Brotherhood. End Time Apocalyptic events however are rarely around the corner and to use these predictions to promote recruitment for militancy, insurgency and terror goes against all the tenets of Islam. Young men, drawn into the fold of insurgency, then promote terror across borders and within borders, and become tools of various radicalized groups as well as underhand operatives and intelligence agencies.

We invite all right thinking individuals, including academics and politicians the world over to denounce the excessive and heavy use of "Ghazwa e Hind" in TV broadcasts and religious pronouncements with a view to creating a "War Frenzy". We invite scholars of religion both in Christianity and in the Ulama to better explain 
the relevant Hadiths and texts and clarify these in the context of both the Book of Revelations, the Quran and around the arrival of the Mahdi. We invite Social Media companies like Facebook and Google to follow the UN ban by removing all major references relating to the imminence of "Ghazwa e Hind".

We invite both Prime Minister Modi and the Wazir E Azam Imran Khan to continue to work with the US Govt,  the EU, the Gulf Cooperation Council and peace loving nations of the Ulema to set aside differences in favor of denouncing apocalyptic wars as well as militancy and terrorism at this sensitive time as both India and
 Pakistan look to rebuild their growing economies. We invite the head of ISI and other defence establishments in Pakistan to promote peace in the region and the idea that Islam is for peace, including peace and harmony between India and Pakistan.
