I am still trying to wrap my brain around how this has taken off.
I was expecting 100, maybe a couple hundred to sign up. We are now blazing past 2000 in just two days.
Looking at the list, when starting out, I recognized most of the names. Now, it’s rare when I catch a familiar name (which is wonderful).
The news story about our petition was a very nice shot in the arm.
On that note, here are some initial successes:
- I’ve exchanged emails with a gentleman who helped launch Google Earth.
- I have an email that Mark Cuban uses to communicate with. I’ll ask him if he has any recommendation and/or connections.
- I’m meeting with the Living for Zachary charity, as well as meeting with 3-4 other AED manufacturing and distribution companies to see what we might do together.
- I’ve reach out to our local representative to see about going the legislative route. Haven’t heard back from him yet.
- CBS11 shot and aired a story about our campaign.
Julie and I will be out next week volunteering with the Kidd’s Kids Teen Charity trip to Disney. We are returning Thursday evening. In the mean time, if you haven’t done so, please post this petition to keep the ball rolling. When we get back, I’ll do another update.
