Hi all,
Sam Tarry (MP for Ilford South) has sent a letter to those immediately surrounding the Tesco development asking what their opinions are. For those that didn’t get a letter you can still write to him telling him what you think. His email is sam.tarry.mp@parliament.uk.
Also, cc in your councillors so they know how you feel too.
Possible things to discuss:
- Too many units – There are 1300 flats planned in such a small area
- Travel – Crossrail will not be able to support this many people
- Traffic/Pollution – There are already high levels of pollution in the area
- Recreation/Green Space – Creating sufficient green space should be a mandatory
requirement on the developers - Health Infrastructure – Redbridge has one of the worst resident to doctor ratios in London
- Privacy/Light – Looming tower blocks will take away all sense of privacy from the residents
surrounding the area. - Mental Health – The council leader recognised the issues with building high rises on long
term mental health. How can we forget the lessons of the past to please the developers.
Thank you
Af
