To whom it may concern at Gloucestershire Constabulary (psst. That's all of you; 'Bobby's on the Beat', office workers, cleaners, The PCC, The Chief Constable...ALL of you)
Before this petition is submitted on Friday (Via email) and physically on Saturday, I just wanted to thank you in advanced for taking the time to read it.
I must highlight the seriousness of this complaint and the support behind it - at the time of writing this 610 people have joined to call for an investigation to be opened. These should be considered as 610 separate complaints on the same issue.
What ever the outcome of the investigate we hope you will launch, please know that by opening one, you will have followed the correct path in which we trust our democracy to follow.
We understand times are tough, funding and resources are low. The PCC revealed, at hustings held at the University of Gloucestershire, that the Police budget for Gloucestershire had dropped by £5m every year since he took office.
In the budget before last, we were told of a further 2.3% cut as a result of several others (Link below).
This is matter that affects you and your livelihood just as much as it affects our safety which we entrust to you.
Mr Chalk voted in favour of this budget and spending review, I implore you to please open an investigation into the allegations presented. It is not just in the interest of my self and (currently) 609 others, but it is in your interest too.
Thank you - see you this weekend.
Jack
