Human Impact on Global Warming

Human Impact on Global Warming
The Issue
Global warming is a big issue facing the world right now. It has been debated by scientists all over and used by political leaders as a political tool. It's effects on animals and agriculture are very bad and the effects in the human population are even worse.
Global warming is the rising average temperature of the atmosphere near the earth's surface. Every single year the temperature rises about 0.02 degrees celsius. The increase in the temperature may be caused naturally or by human influences. In common usage i refers to the warming as a result of increased releases of greenhouse gases due to human activity.
Global warming causes are divided into two groups natural and man made causes. The natural causes are created by nature, such as large volcanic eruptions, ash acts as a shield to solar radiation and causes a cooling trend in the atmosphere. The changes in earth's solar radiation also have an effect on the earth's climate. Lastly the earth slightly wobbles as it rotates around the sun, as a result alternatively exposing the northern and southern latitudes to more or less solar radiation. Now we can not change the natural effects but we can change the man made ones.
The most damage caused is by the human race and pollution is one of the biggest problems. Some of the ways we are creating pollution are carbon dioxide emissions from power plants burning coal, natural gas or petroleum to produce electricity. Also carbon dioxide emissions from burning gasoline and diesel fuel for transportation. There are methane emissions from animals, agriculture such as rice paddies and from arctic sea beds. Deforestation is another big cause because they trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen for us but cutting them down is creation carbon and then the trees can no longer convert it to oxygen. These are just a few of the many ways we are affecting global warming.
Now that I have stated the many ways we are causing global warming we need ways to reduce our effect on it. To start off if you have a short distance to go instead of driving or taking a bus maybe walk or take a bike because then you are not burning gas. Next we can use renewable energy sources to power our homes, schools and businesses such as getting solar panels because then we are using a natural energy source, the sun. Of course there are many other ways to lessen our effect and you can read more about them here https://www.nrdc.org/stories/how-you-can-stop-global-warming
But these were just a few ways. I hope that you join in and help us lessen our impact on global warming.
