Without a global carbon tax and global wealth tax, corporations/wealthy are simply going to shift their pollution/money from one jurisdiction to another, and the only thing we can do is attempt to play "whack-a-mole".

Unfathomable amounts of wealth and resources are being sucked up and deposited in lower tax nations and offshore bank accounts.  We have more than enough money to tackle urgently needed action on climate change and inequality.  An agreed upon global carbon tax and global wealth tax, similar to the minimum 15% corporate tax that was recently agreed to by the 136 OECD countries (representing over 90% of worlds output), is the surest way to redirect money from the bad things that are plaguing our world (extreme personal wealth/greed, billionaire vanity projects and polluting the environmental with impunity), to the good things we need (global cooperation on environmental standards and targets, funding for environmental projects, both large scale and locally, with massive increases in solar installations, planting/protecting trees being examples of projects in desperate need of funding all over the world).
