Heart Radio is a network of 22 local radio stations operated by Global in the UK. They have been around since 1994 first starting up in the West Midlands.

Global has made the decision to cut down the number of hours of local programming on each station and subsequently, the Heart Breakfast radio shows will now be presented by Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden instead of their local, regional counterparts.

Many believe this to be a grave mistake. By getting shot of the local radio presenters on the morning breakfast shows, listeners will now feel disconnected from their communities with the generalisation of the show.

The purpose of this petition is to implore Global to reverse it's decision to cancel the local radio shows and to evidence what support there lies within.
