STOP animal cruelty at Christensen Farms!

The Issue

An undercover investigation released two days ago, exposed multiple incidents of cruelty and neglect at the fourth largest pork producer in the nation.

Hidden-camera video taken by Last Chance for Animals at Christensen Farms, a breed- to-wean facility in Luverne, MN, documented systematic neglect and cruelty including:

1. workers forcing sows with severe injuries to walk, sometimes dragging their exposed internal organs, before being euthanized
2. workers slapping, kicking and stabbing downed sows with pens
3. workers dragging sows by their ears and snout
4. workers failing to properly euthanize piglets
5. management’s failure to promptly euthanize pigs suffering from debilitating 6. illness and injuries, leaving pigs to suffer for periods as long as ten weeks

To view the undercover video visit www.factoryfarm360.org.

Christensen Farms markets approximately four million hogs per year and is the largest shareholder of Triumph Foods. Christensen Farms’ products are sold by major retailers across the U.S., including Walmart.

We, as citizens and consumers are aware today that millions of animals get sacrificed every year to satisfy human needs. Some of us accept this silently, while others refuse to acknowledge the brutality of this reality.  We must not shut our eyes in front of cold hard facts and pretend it is Okay to eat or make money out of animals that have known only putrid violence in their short lives.

Mr. Glenn Stolt, making a few more dishonest bucks by keeping animals in cages, treating them as commodities, allowing for them to be tortured before killing them for meat to sell, will come at a huge price for your business, your loved ones, and us, the rest of the people who buys your livid pork meat. But you, as the CEO of this company should try to do something to stop the cruel treatment of these animals and convince your shareholders that eating tortured meat is a sick thing to do and a sick way to be.

Mr. Glenn Stolt, keep those animals in open spaces and hire compassionate people to deal with their care.

Mr. Stolt, we don't want to be part of the criminal abuse used to subjugate these animals! Don't sell us tortured meat for food!
