The Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative will publish a 20 page detailed report tomorrow on the history of planning and development proposals for Govan Graving Docks during the 28 years that the site has been derelict. The damning report cites dozens of publicly available references and will clearly demonstrate that a housing and commercial redevelopment of Govan Graving Docks is not viable. It will raise questions of the historic role of public officials during the 1990s and 2000s, in relation to previous development plans and failures to enforce the regulations on listed buildings. It will make very uncomfortable reading for many agencies. This will potentially be the final nail in the coffin for the plans of property developers.
