Hi All, I'm delighted to say that since the petition was launched just over 3 months ago we have had an excellent response. So firstly i would just like to thank everyone that signed the petition and shared it. On top of receiving over 2,000 signatures at the moment of writing this, we also had some brilliant publicity in the Evening Times which in turn looks to have attracted some attention from prominent members of the community. The leader of the Glasgow City Council Frank McAveety gave the petition a personal response assuring us that he felt the same disappointment at the state of the Winter Gardens and that the council was looking into the future of the building. Finally the latest bit of news is that a retired investment banker is interested in trying to help start a funding campaign to restore the Winter Gardens. It is obviously early doors with this but it is an exciting idea that i look forward to hearing more about in the future. Once again i would like to thank everyone that has signed the petition.
