Announced in the Evening Times today - New City Vision have now submitted their planning application to Glasgow City Council to turn Govan Graving Docks into flats and an hotel. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/15607812.Govan_Graving_Docks__700_homes_plan__submitted_including_hotel_and_space_for_houseboats/ Today we have delivered 15 pages of paper petition signatures to Glasgow City Council calling for this application to be refused and for a ten-year moratorium to be declared on considering applications for housing at this site. These signatures were collected in Govan Cross Shopping Centre on the same days as New City Vision's consultation exhibitions in March 2017. The application has not yet been notified by the council. Once it has been validated there will likely be a window of up to 21 for public comment - which is your opportunity to formally object. CDPI will be issuing guidance and a template letter for submitting formal objections once the details of the application are available on Glasgow City Council's website. Now is also the time to get as many of your friends, family and colleagues to sign this online petition and build momentum behind the campaign.
