Decision now issued on a preferred location for the Cutty Sark replica construction project. Subject to formalities the project will go to Vila do Conde in Portugal. We had the opportunity announced a year ago to have this built in Govan Graving Docks following informal discussions Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative had with the Cutty Sark 2 team. However none of the local politicians in Govan and Glasgow, Glasgow City Council, nor the Scottish Government put their weight behind the idea so we have them to thank for the project going overseas.
