Glasgow City Council: Change the name of Kerrydale Street (G40 3RE) to 'Jock Stein Way'

In order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Glasgow Celtic winning the European Cup (on the 25th May 2017), we are requesting that the city council change the name of the street on which the club stands.
The name we are suggesting is 'Jock Stein Way'. Jock was, of course, the first manager to bring the European Cup to Britain, and did it with a team of men all born within 30 miles of Glasgow.
Recently other clubs, such as Manchester United, have had streets outside their grounds named after succesful managers. So there is a precedent for this sort of action.
The street in question (Kerrydale Street), is a short street, home only to Celtic Football Club. Therefore this motion would have no negative impact on any other businesses, or private residents. There is even a statue of the great man himself at the head of the street.
We propose the that the street name be changed on the 25th of May 2017, to commemorate the actual anniversary of Mr Stein's greatest acheivement.
