Stop the state government wasting our money on new stadiums
0 have signed. Let’s get to 35,000!
The state government has decided to spend up to $2.5 billion of your taxpayer money on knocking down and rebuilding two stadiums that are under 30 years of age, without any business case, cost benefit analysis or compelling reason to do so. This decision must be scrutinised. It doesn’t pass the pub test.
Gladys Berejiklian has caved to some very powerful special interests who sit on the SCG trust including Alan Jones and Barry O’Farrell and has not made this decision in the public interest. We the people of NSW call on this deal to be stopped, and at the very least a full business case to be presented in order to justify this use of our money. There are so many other worthy causes that this money could be committed to, like much needed hospitals and schools, fixing some of our horrible traffic problems, or building a train line to the new badgerys creek airport.
