I'll be blunt. I've given up all hope that there is going to be a remaster of these games or any kind of a future for this franchise to speak of. It's clear that EA just wants Dragon Age to fade from existence and they are content with being a perfect example of what happens when a great franchise is handled by an inefficient publisher.

There is some glimmer of hope though. Since this petition started, I've noticed many studios and publishers willing to engage in the competition. Larian's Divinity, OwlCat's The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, Archetype Entertainment's EXODUS, and Republic Games' soon to be revealed Dark Fantasy Action RPG, Arcanuat's Fate of the Old Republic. All of which are somewhat inspired by Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Single Player, Create a Character, Action RPGs with Choices, Consequences, and Companions. Are these Dragon Age? No, but it's clear from these developers and the disappointment of gamers, that there is market for games like it. If they want to succeed where EA fails, then my wallet and I welcome them.

With that, I have hope that we'll get a great spiritual successor to Dragon Age and by the time EA realizes they're unprepared in this competition, it'll be too late. 

Although there are questions left unanswered and although there is still so much potential this beloved universe has to offer, I've made my peace with it.
