The goal of this petition was to put migraine on the map, and make sure we weren't ignored.
The Liberal Party (with the stellar exception of NSW Senate candidate Hollie Hughes) ignored us. As did Hanson, Palmer and Anning. Everyone else now has migraine on their radar. That'll do.
We had the formal response from soon-to-be Health Minister Catherine King, and the commitment from Bek Sharkie to stay on the issue from the cross bench. That's not bad for a little petition that was trying pretty hard not to step on Headache Australia's toes. (We'll have to deal with Headache Australia's lack of effort and commitment to patients another day.
The Facebook page will stay up - https://www.facebook.com/noaimovignovote - it might get renamed, but for the moment we'll keep updating on the progress of Aimovig, Emgality and Ajovy.
Thanks to everyone who signed and shared for helping us get migraine on the agenda, and securing the commitment from Labor to put the new CGRP meds on the PBS when PBAC approves them.
Have a happy and migraine free election day.
