Evening everyone,

JOIN BEFORE 31 JANUARY: Check if your old diesel cars are eligible for £000's compensation each from the ongoing High Court Diesel-gate trials

News update: UK diesel emissions trial ends as 1.6m drivers await High Court ruling

The diesel-gate UK High Court case has concluded after 10 weeks in court. The High Court is now expected to deliberate for a few months, with a decision anticipated this summer.

If the manufacturers are found guilty of cheating emissions tests, then this will likely be the largest mass action compensation pay out the UK has ever seen, even bigger than the PPI scandal and far far bigger than the current car finance scandal that the FCA are currently deciding compensation for. The expectation is that millions of UK car owners will receive £000's in compensation from this.

To be eligible you must have owned one of the affected diesel cars, produced between 2008 and 2020. It doesn't matter if you no longer own that car, you may still be eligible. To check if you can join these class action claims and possibly receive compensation, click the link at the top and enter your registration plate.

Compensation will be paid PER CAR, not per person, so if you've owned multiple diesel cars then make sure to join a claim with each registration plate.

I doubt there will be many more updates after this until the summer, but I'll keep you posted if anything new does come out.

Thanks all,

Richard Winstone
