Hi Everyone – Can you take 3 minutes to reach out to your Senators and Representative directly right now? This tool makes it really easy – you just need to add your address and it will get the letter to your elected officials. 

Here’s why: today, Democrats in Congress released the first draft of their new relief bill as a starting point. Despite our work, it only includes another single stimulus check. We need to keep up the pressure and tell leadership in Congress that one single check isn’t going to cut it. We need our leaders to agree to monthly payments – at least until this crisis is over.  

The good news: the number of lawmakers who support our call for monthly checks is growing. Yesterday, 83 Senators and Representatives released a letter, calling for monthly payments until the economic crisis is over. Our work is paying off, but we need to keep going.

If your family is like mine, we can’t keep waiting around while lawmakers argue back and forth. There is no end in sight to the economic consequences of COVID-19, and we need to know when the next check is coming. Let’s send our Rep. and Senators a note now and tell them we need them to stop talking about relief and actually make it happen. Here’s the link to the letter tool again.
