Plaid Cymru agrees with you that 16 and 17 year olds should have the right to vote in all elections.

There is a fundamental dysfunction at the heart of our democracy. Brexit has brought it to the fore, but it was there anyway. It’s now up to politicians to do something about it.

Once of the best ways of strengthening our democracy is extending the right to vote to all 16 and 17 year olds.

That’s why Plaid Cymru has committed to leading efforts to lowering the voting age for Westminster elections, as well as campaigning to give EU citizens and all those with permanent residency the right to vote in all elections.
