As it has been a tradition since 1929 to award the First Lady of the United States the honorary title of President of Girl Scouts of America I propose the Girl Scouts break tradition and keep Michelle Obama as Honorary President of the Girl Scouts of America.

Michelle Obama has proven to be a role model that all girls around the world can aspire to be. Michelle has also proven that she will continue to champion for Girl's rights with the Let Girls Learn movement.

I am a mother to a Girl Scout and an assistant Troop Leader and I want to be compassionate to our politics but I also need to set an example for my daughter.

That example must include the highest of standards which include naming a Girl Scout President who was earned the title in her education, her life's work, her charitable works and her ability to inspire our Girls Scouts of America.
