With most of us now back at work for a new year I’ve just released the first in the two part ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’ miniseries on Mental Podcast. This week I interviewed David Beeney, who after keeping his mental illness secret for over 30 years now teaches workplaces across the UK how to better support employees.
In the episode he also shares a personal story about losing a friend he worked with to suicide who always seemed strong and happy. So if you do get the chance this coming week check on a friend you haven’t heard from in a little while. Sometimes those who need support the most are right there, smiling.
You can find the episode on Apple Podcast, Stitcher, Spotify or our website
P.S. If you haven’t already please sign the petition for Mental Health Education in Wales. Part of the devolved Welsh Government requested one just for their jurisdiction towards a debate in their Parliament. Please sign it, this only takes a few seconds and you don’t have to live in Wales to do so.
Many thanks, Bobby Temps
