On this day in 1966 Gene made the momentous decision to quit the Byrds. Perhaps Gene's solo career didn't achieve the same commercial success it did while he was with the Byrds, but I think the 1,000+ who have supported this petition so far would agree that he was very successful at his craft. Let's continue to get more supporters to show just how successful Gene really was.
