Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition so far!

We have 675 signatures, and are hoping to reach 1000 to make a greater impact to city council.

Please share the link with anyone else who doesn’t want to be spied on by the government. We’ve also started a website to make it easier to share: https://deflock29.org

Also — please complete the city’s community survey, to let them know that removing Flock mass surveillance is a high priority.
If the responses show that “public safety” is a high priority, they will likely twist that into a justification for more surveillance.

Over the last few month, while more cameras have been installed, several community members have made public comments at 29 Palms City Council, making well-reasoned arguments about the dangers of mass surveillance, and asking critical questions about Flock’s unethical behavior.  We have asked the council to put this on a future agenda, but they continue to refuse any discussion.

Meanwhile, more cities and counties around the country are cancelling their Flock contracts, and Flock continues lying about product capabilities, trying to convince everyone that the system is safe. This month, we learned that several Flock employees have been using the cameras to watch children’s gymnastics in a JCC in Dunwoody, Georgia! Learn more about that here.

Let's get this petition up to 1000, thanks in advance for sharing!
