6 signatures in 6 days is all that is needed to present Glen Hegar, Texas State Comptroller in charge of $600 million earmarked by the US Federal government for rural broadband ($500 million from the American Rescue Program Act).  We will close this chapter on March 23rd 2022.

But for all who have signed WE can share some great results already.

I am grateful and enthusiastic about being appointed to the Cooke County Broadband Advisory Group. Together with my fellow group members we have the opportunity to accelerate and expand a critical infrastructure that is necessary for our schools, businesses, retail, agriculture, government offices, medical care, entrepreneurs, churches and service organizations and public at large so all of our rural county can flourish and innovate with relevance into the 21st century. It’s not often we have the chance to work on something that is a vital and necessary service in the present and is foundational for the future — and I believe broadband for rural Texas is just that. Expanding rural broadband is a work in progress to benefit not just all in our county but through connectivity all that rural Texas is such a traditional vital part of. What better use of life than to make an effort for something that is truly meaningful and a service to other people?

6 more signatures, let’s finish over 750!
