New petition alert: @trussliz please provide free period products across the UK! #BloodyFree

Hi all 318,498 of you amazing people!
We've got an exciting and very powerful new petition to share with you!
Last week, Scotland became the first country in the world to make period products free for everyone. Monica Lennon MSP pushed the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill through parliament, which places a legal duty on local authorities to ensure that period products such as tampons and sanitary pads are available to "anyone who needs them".
This news is HUGE. The Bill reflects the essential nature of period products and will help to tackle period stigma and period poverty, both of which have held many of us back for generations.
Like many of us, Gabby Edlin, CEO and Founder of Bloody Good Period, celebrated this amazing news. But she didn't stop there. Oh no! She has since launched a new petition, lobbying Minister for Women and Equalities Liz Truss MP to roll out a similar policy across the UK.
If period products are free in Scotland, then they should also be free across the rest of the UK!
Gabby tells us: "Activism is most successful when we collaborate and we would be so delighted for all of you who made Laura's tampon tax petition successful to help us out on the next step to period equity!"
If you would like to sign Gabby's petition, then thank you! You are a hero. please follow this link: www.change.org/bloodyfree
Thank you and have a lovely afternoon,
Laura :)
