Scotland expands its period poverty scheme!

Hello all 320,088 of you amazing campaigners!!
Just a quick update to let you know that Scotland has decided to provide free period products in more public places than ever before!
Scotland's trial scheme, which distributed free period products to a variety of people across the country last year, has been so successful in lessening period poverty, tackling the period taboo and ensuring girls are not stopped from gaining an education because of their period, that the Scottish Government has decided to fund an expansion for the next financial year. Period!
Communities Secretary Aileen Campbell said: "In a society as rich as Scotland, no one should have to suffer the indignity of not having the means to meet their basic needs... We also want to continue to reduce the stigma and address the overarching gender equality and dignity issues that affect everyone who menstruates, regardless of their income."
BOOM!
We've also created a little montage of the amazing progress all of you tampon tax campaigners made last year! Here is a link if you want to take a look: https://www.instagram.com/p/BsiKH-FBVf4/
Have a lovely Sunday,
