Hello all 320,086 of you!! Wednesday was a MASSIVE success for us. For the second year running, we got a mention in the Treasury’s budget. It was HUGE. It marked the first time our new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond MP, spoke about tampon tax. Oh yes, he said the word ‘tampon’ in Parliament again. Year has been made. More to the point… he confirmed that the government is still committed to ending the tax ‘when legally possible’ by allocating a further £12MILLION to the ‘Tampon Tax Fund’, which supports female-focused charities and organisations. That’s a total of £30M that we’ve persuaded the Government to direct to helping women. That’s pretty amazing! Have a lovely weekend, Laura #EndTamponTax P.S.
