Hello all 281,478 of you!!! Big news. Yesterday, two Italian MPs put forward legislation to lower tampon tax in Italy from 22% to 4%. However, they were laughed at in response. Italy needs to know that we all stand together in this fight. Italy's success is our success. Similarly, if they choose not to deal with this overtly sexist issue, then the rest of the European Union will suffer. To win over the EU, all major member states need to unite in their fight against sanitary tax. That includes us, and Italy, alongside our other sister campaigns. Let the Italian government know that it cannot simply laugh this problem off and ignore misogyny, by making some noise. We stand with Italy in solidarity. The MPs who supported the axing of tampon tax aren't alone in this fight. We're not laughing either. The proposed legislation has been tabled and a parliamentary discussion will take place in Italy about sanitary tax.
