I want the laws regarding Knighthood NOT being given posthumously to be changed.

The Issue

I want the law or precedent not allowing George Michael & others to NOT be given knighthood Posthumously changed. There have been people who were worthy of this honour denied because they are deceased.  George Michael who donated hundred of thousands through charity, Captain Bobby Moore who led England in their only World Cup victory, Steven Hawking, Shakespeare, Wilde, just to name a few.  These people have given of their time, and bestowed great honour to their country and deserve to be knighted for their achievements. The law or precedent to reject posthumous honours is archaic.  If such awards can be given while alive, then they should also be given posthumously after looking at a person's  body of work, and all they have sacrificed, and achieved in their lifetime. George Michael alone was a Grammy Award winning artist and over the span of his life he donated the royalties of Last Christmas to aide in Ethiopian Famine relief, donated his royalties from Jesus to a Child  to Childline, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.   George  donated to 30 charities in his lifetime, was a role model to many  and was a staunch advocate in the LGTBQ community.  If anyone deserves knighthood it is George Michael.
