I request that speed cameras are placed on Liverpool road, Huyton to save lives and help keep the young people of our area safe. 

My name is Katie Brough. On the 24th October my son Frankie Murphy was killed while riding his bike across Liverpool road. This has devastated and shattered mine and his fathers world completely.  My son was 13 years old. My Frankie had everything to live for. I will never shake the memories of that day from my mind and it will haunt me forever. I would never want another person to experience what we have as a family again. My daughter who is 6 keeps asking for her big brother. All that I can say is 'he is with the Angels now and will always be at your side'.

Please don't let my sons death be in vain. 

I propose that 30 mph speed cameras are placed on Liverpool road, Huyton, to make sure a fatalitie does never happen like this again. Drivers will see a 30 mph sign and may still speed to catch the green light. Whereas I believe if there is a speed camera in place, drivers will slow down to avoid the consequence of points on their licence. 

Let us make the roads of Huyton safer for our community.
